Finally figured out why my fiddle leaf fig kept dropping leaves—it wasn't the watering, it was the drafts from my swamp cooler. Moved it away from the AC vent and stopped obsessing over the soil moisture, and it's been stable for months now. In an arid climate, I think people underestimate how much air movement stresses these plants. Worth checking before you toss it.
