Finally got my Monstera to split a leaf after months of nothing

Finally got my Monstera to split a leaf after months of nothing! I'm still not totally sure what made the difference—I moved it closer to the window and maybe watered less consistently, but honestly I can't tell which one actually worked. I have a photo showing the new split that I'd upload if I could. Has anyone else had theirs suddenly start producing fenestrations out of nowhere, or is there something specific I should be doing to keep it going?
