Finally got my snake plant to flower after three years of neglect—literally the most hands-off thing in my collection

Finally got my snake plant to flower after three years of neglect—literally the most hands-off thing in my collection. It's sitting in a corner of my kitchen getting maybe three hours of indirect light, and I water it when I remember. The flowers smell faintly sweet, which surprised me. I always assumed people complained about snake plants being boring because they were overwatering them. Anyone else have one that actually bloomed, or did I just get lucky?
