Finally got my snake plant to stop looking sad after I moved it closer to the window

Finally got my snake plant to stop looking sad after I moved it closer to the window. I kept it in a corner for months thinking it didn't need light, but turns out even these tough plants appreciate brightness. Mine's perking up now and I swear the leaves look greener. Has anyone else struggled with placement, or did yours just thrive wherever you put it? I have five other houseplants and this one was honestly the trickiest so far.
