I finally figured out why my pothos was so sluggish—I'd been watering on a schedule instead of checking soil moisture first. In my dry climate, the pot dries way faster than I expected, and overwatering was the culprit. Now I let the top inch dry out completely and it's thriving. Still the easiest plant I own, but it does need that one thing: don't assume it wants water just because it's been a week.
