I finally figured out why my Sansevieria trifasciata has been so much happier since I moved it away from my bright window. Turns out I was overwatering because I assumed the leaf yellowing meant thirst, when really it was root rot from sitting in that indirect light where the soil dried more slowly. Now it's in a shadier corner and I water maybe once every three weeks. The new growth coming in is looking crisp and upright again. Sometimes the best thing you can do is actually neglect these plants a bit.
