I finally figured out why my Sansevieria trifasciata wasn't growing—I was watering it way too often

I finally figured out why my Sansevieria trifasciata wasn't growing—I was watering it way too often! Since I switched to watering only when the soil is completely dry (maybe once a month in my tropical climate), it's actually put out new shoots. I still get nervous letting the soil go that long, but I guess these guys really do prefer neglect. Has anyone else struggled with overwatering theirs?
