I finally figured out why my snake plant was getting those soft spots at the base—I was watering it way too often

I finally figured out why my snake plant was getting those soft spots at the base—I was watering it way too often! Turns out Sansevieria really does prefer to dry out between waterings, even more than I thought. Now I'm checking the soil before I water and it's looking so much healthier. Has anyone else struggled with overwatering these, or am I just overly cautious with mine?
