I finally figured out why my snake plant was looking so pale—I was watering it way too much

I finally figured out why my snake plant was looking so pale—I was watering it way too much! Moved it to a brighter spot and backed off on the water, and now the stripes are coming back so vibrant. Has anyone else struggled with overwatering theirs, or is it just me being too eager to care for my plants?
