I finally figured out why my ZZ plant was looking so dull—I was watering it way too often. Turns out they really do prefer to dry out between waterings, especially here in my mediterranean climate where things warm up quickly. Since I backed off, the new growth has been so much brighter. It's honestly one of the easiest plants I own now, which feels silly to admit after months of overthinking it.
