I finally figured out why my ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) was so slow to grow—I was watering it way too often! I read that they store water in their rhizomes and actually prefer to dry out between waterings. Since I switched to watering maybe once every three weeks, the new leaflets have been coming in noticeably faster. It's still one of my slowest growers, but at least now I feel like I'm working with it instead of against it. Anyone else struggle with overwatering theirs?
