I finally got my Monstera deliciosa to produce a fenestrated leaf

I finally got my Monstera deliciosa to produce a fenestrated leaf! It took almost two years, but I'm honestly not sure if it was patience or just luck. I've read the window size depends on maturity and light, but mine sits in bright indirect light and it's still pretty small. Has anyone else's taken forever to develop those characteristic holes, or am I doing something wrong? I'd love to compare notes—I'm still learning the ins and outs of getting this plant really thriving.
