I finally got one of my snake plants to flower after two years, and I'm honestly shocked

I finally got one of my snake plants to flower after two years, and I'm honestly shocked! I read that Sansevieria trifasciata blooms when it's slightly stressed, but I wasn't sure if that was just wishful thinking. Mine had been sitting in a corner getting less water than the others. Has anyone else noticed this, or did I just get lucky? I'm trying to figure out if I should keep the watering sparse on my other one or if consistency is better overall.
