I'm finally getting somewhere with my Monstera deliciosa after months of patience

I'm finally getting somewhere with my Monstera deliciosa after months of patience. The fenestration on the new leaves is becoming more pronounced, which I've read is partly a light and maturity thing. I keep it in bright indirect light near an east-facing window, and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed their M. deliciosa takes time to really show those characteristic splits, or if mine is just being stubborn. It's my only houseplant right now, so I'm invested!
