I'm genuinely puzzled by my peace lily

I'm genuinely puzzled by my peace lily. Everyone says they're forgiving, but mine keeps drooping dramatically even though I water it when the soil feels dry. I'm in a mediterranean climate, so maybe it's the dry air? I've moved it away from the radiator, but I'm wondering if I should mist it more or if that's just a myth. Has anyone else struggled with these in drier climates? I'd love to hear what actually works.
