I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule

I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule. It's in a bright spot near an east-facing window, which seems to help, but I keep second-guessing myself on how often to water. The soil dries out pretty quickly in my tropical climate. Does anyone else struggle with this, or am I just overthinking it? I'd love to hear what's worked for you.
