I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and I'm still figuring out the watering rhythm

I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and I'm still figuring out the watering rhythm. I thought mine was dying last month when the leaves started dropping, but I realized I was overwatering in the humidity here. Now I'm checking the soil before touching it, and new growth is finally coming in. Has anyone else struggled with this, or am I just overthinking it?
