I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now, and I'm still figuring out what it actually wants

I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now, and I'm still figuring out what it actually wants. Mine keeps dropping lower leaves even though I water it when the top inch feels dry and it gets bright, indirect light. I read that they're sensitive to moving around, so I'm trying to resist the urge to shuffle it. Has anyone else dealt with this, or am I just being impatient? I'd love to know if there's something obvious I'm missing.
