I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and it's finally putting out a new leaf

I've had my Ficus lyrata for about four months now and it's finally putting out a new leaf! I was worried I'd killed it after that watering mishap early on—turns out it was just adjusting to my place. I think the key was moving it away from the direct afternoon sun and letting the soil dry out more between waterings. Does anyone else find these things slow to acclimate, or am I just impatient?
