I've had my Ficus lyrata for three years now, and I finally stopped obsessing over perfect drainage and indirect light. Turns out mine thrives in a bright corner of my living room with afternoon sun—totally against conventional wisdom. I think the arid climate here just suits it better than it would in a humid environment. Has anyone else found their lyrata actually prefers conditions that seem to contradict the usual advice?
