I've had my Ficus lyrata for three years now, and I'm finally getting consistent new leaf growth. The trick for me in the Arizona heat was stopping the constant fussing—I watered less, moved it away from the south-facing window, and accepted that it just grows slower here than in humid climates. Everyone talks about them being finicky, but I think they're more forgiving than people assume once you stop expecting greenhouse conditions indoors.
