I've had my Monstera deliciosa for three years now and it's finally putting out fenestrated leaves consistently. I think the breakthrough was moving it away from the south-facing window—counterintuitive, I know, but the intense desert heat here was actually scorching new growth before the leaves could develop the characteristic splits. Now it sits in bright indirect light and seems much happier. Has anyone else found that *less* light actually improved their fenestration, or was that just my particular arid climate situation?
