I've had my Monstera for about four months now and it's finally starting to split

I've had my Monstera for about four months now and it's finally starting to split! I know everyone says they're easy, but mine kept pushing out solid leaves for ages and I was getting worried. Turns out it just needed more light—I moved it closer to the window and boom, fenestrations appearing. Still only six plants in my collection, so I'm trying not to kill this one. Has anyone else had their Monstera take forever to split, or did mine just need more patience?
