I've had my peace lily for about a year now and finally got it to bloom consistently

I've had my peace lily for about a year now and finally got it to bloom consistently. I kept thinking I wasn't feeding it enough, but it turned out I was just overwatering it in my mediterranean climate. The moment I let the soil dry out a bit more between waterings, it started flowering like crazy. Has anyone else found that peace lilies actually prefer slightly drier conditions than the guides suggest? I'm curious if it's just mine or a common thing I missed.
