I've had my peace lily for about eight months now, and I'm finally getting the hang of it

I've had my peace lily for about eight months now, and I'm finally getting the hang of it. Mine actually seems to prefer being slightly drier than the "keep it constantly moist" advice I read everywhere, especially here in my Mediterranean climate. It was drooping constantly until I backed off the watering. Has anyone else found their peace lily does better with a bit less fussing?
