I've had my Pothos for about four months now and it's finally starting to vine properly along my shelf

I've had my Pothos for about four months now and it's finally starting to vine properly along my shelf. I think the issue before was that I was watering it too frequently—I read somewhere that Epipremnum aureum actually prefers drying out between waterings, and once I backed off it perked up immediately. Has anyone else found their Pothos grows faster in one season over another? Mine seems to have suddenly hit its stride now that it's getting more indirect light by the window.
