I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and honestly I'm still amazed how little it needs

I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and honestly I'm still amazed how little it needs. I water maybe once a month, sometimes less, and it just keeps growing those tall green leaves. The real question though—is mine supposed to have some brownish spots on the older leaves, or is that a sign something's wrong? I'd love to share a photo if I could upload one. Anyone else dealing with this?
