I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to care about my neglect

I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to care about my neglect. I water it maybe once a month, sometimes less, and it just keeps growing those new shoots. I'm curious though—is yellow leaf browning at the base normal aging, or am I overwatering it? I have nine plants total and this one's definitely my lowest-maintenance so far.
