I've had my snake plant for about eight months now and it's finally putting out a new leaf, which feels like a huge win! I kept wondering if I was watering it wrong—I read they're super drought-tolerant but I wasn't sure how often was actually right. Turns out I was probably overwatering early on. Now I just stick my finger in the soil and only water when it's completely dry, and it seems much happier. Has anyone else found that these really do better with neglect?
