I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm honestly shocked at how low-maintenance it is

I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm honestly shocked at how low-maintenance it is. I keep forgetting to water it and it just... thrives? Like, I watered it once last month and it's still looking great. My only question is, am I doing something right or just getting lucky? Has anyone else found their snake plant basically indestructible, or do I need to be watering more often? I'm worried I'm accidentally neglecting it.
