I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it needs from me

I've had my snake plant for about six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it needs from me! Honestly, I was worried I'd kill it since I tend to overwater everything, but it actually seems to thrive on neglect. My question though—is it normal for the leaves to be a bit pale? I water maybe once a month and it sits in a bright corner. Should I be doing something different, or is this just how mine looks?
