I've had my snake plant for about two years now and I'm still amazed at how little it asks of me

I've had my snake plant for about two years now and I'm still amazed at how little it asks of me. I water it maybe once a month, sometimes less in winter, and it just keeps thriving in a corner with indirect light. I think I was overthinking plant care before I got this one. Has anyone else found their snake plant actually prefers being a bit neglected? I'm wondering if I'm doing something right by accident or just getting lucky.
