I've had my snake plant for almost two years now and I'm still not entirely sure how often it actually needs water

I've had my snake plant for almost two years now and I'm still not entirely sure how often it actually needs water. I keep telling myself less is more with these, but then I second-guess myself and worry it's getting too dry. The leaves look healthy and upright, so I think I'm doing okay, but does anyone else struggle with the watering schedule or am I just overthinking this? It's one of my favorites in my collection because it's so forgiving, but I'd love to dial it in properly.
