I've had my snake plant for almost two years now and it's finally putting out a new leaf

I've had my snake plant for almost two years now and it's finally putting out a new leaf. I know they're supposed to be super low-maintenance, but I was starting to worry I was somehow neglecting it. Turns out I think it just needed a bit more light during winter. Has anyone else found theirs grows slowly at first, or was mine just being stubborn?
