I've had my snake plant for like six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to care about me forgetting to water it

I've had my snake plant for like six months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to care about me forgetting to water it! Honestly I think I've watered it maybe three times total and it's thriving. My question is—am I doing something right or just getting lucky? Also, does anyone else's snake plant grow super slowly, or is mine just being stubborn?
