I've had my Spathiphyllum wallisii for about four months now, and I'm still figuring out the watering thing

I've had my Spathiphyllum wallisii for about four months now, and I'm still figuring out the watering thing. It droops dramatically when thirsty, which is actually helpful, but I worry I'm overwatering it because the soil stays damp longer in my humid tropical climate. Does anyone else struggle with this? I'm keeping it in bright, indirect light away from the window, and it seems happy otherwise. Any tips for finding the sweet spot would be really appreciated.
