I've had my Spathiphyllum wallisii for three years now, and I'm finally convinced the "low light tolerant" reputation is oversold. Mine stayed pale and barely flowered until I moved it to bright, indirect light near an east-facing window. Now it blooms regularly and the foliage is so much more vibrant. I still water it less than my other tropicals—that part holds true—but I think it genuinely prefers more light than most care guides suggest, at least in my arid climate where humidity is the real challenge.
