I've had my Zamioculcas zamiifolia for three years now and I'm still amazed how little it actually needs. I water maybe once a month in winter, less in summer when it's dormant. The thing that finally clicked for me was accepting that the waxy leaflets aren't just attractive—they're a water-storage adaptation. I was overwatering early on thinking I was being kind. Now I just let the soil dry completely between waterings and it's thriving in a corner with indirect light. Has anyone else found ZZ plants surprisingly easy after they stopped fussing over them?
