I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm honestly amazed at how little it seems to need from me

I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm honestly amazed at how little it seems to need from me. I water maybe once a month, sometimes less, and it just keeps putting out new leaflets. My only confusion is whether I'm actually doing something right or if it's just so forgiving that it's hiding my mistakes. Has anyone else found their ZZ suddenly thrives when you basically forget about it? I'm wondering if I should be doing more, or if I should just trust the neglect at this point.
