I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule

I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule. Mine's in a bright corner but not direct sun, and I think I've been overwatering because the leaflets keep yellowing slightly. I read that Zamioculcas zamiifolia actually prefers to dry out between waterings, so I'm experimenting with letting the soil stay dry longer. Has anyone else struggled with this? I'm hoping the new growth will tell me if I'm finally getting it right.
