I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule

I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still figuring out the watering schedule. Mine's in a bright indirect spot and seems happy, but I keep second-guessing myself—the soil dries out so slowly that I'm worried I'm overwatering even when I think I'm being careful. Does anyone else struggle with this? I'd love to know how often you actually water yours, especially in a tropical climate where humidity is higher.
