I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to need from me

I've had my ZZ plant for about eight months now and I'm still amazed at how little it seems to need from me. I keep forgetting to water it—which sounds bad, but somehow it thrives anyway. My only real question is whether I'm being too hands-off. Does anyone else find their ZZ just... tolerating neglect? I'd love to know if I'm accidentally doing something right or if I should be more intentional with watering schedules.
