I've had my ZZ plant for three years now and it's honestly the lowest-maintenance thing in my collection. Mine sits in a corner with indirect light and I water it maybe once a month—sometimes less in winter. The only thing I messed up early on was overwatering; those rhizomes are way more forgiving than I expected, but they'll rot if you're not patient. If you're new to plants and want something that actually thrives on neglect, this is it. I'd take a photo of mine but it's basically just... thriving quietly, which is kind of the point.
