I've had my ZZ plant for three years now and only recently realized I was watering it way too often

I've had my ZZ plant for three years now and only recently realized I was watering it way too often. It wasn't until I let it dry out nearly completely between waterings that it actually started putting out new leaflets with real vigor. Zamioculcas zamiifolia really does prefer neglect, and I'm finally listening. Anyone else fought the urge to baby theirs?
