I've had my ZZ plant for two years now and honestly forgot it existed for a solid month while traveling. Came back expecting a casualty, but it was fine—barely even drooped. That said, I finally figured out it actually *prefers* neglect over my attempts to care for it. Now I water maybe every three weeks and it's putting out new growth like crazy. If you're new to plants, grab one of these. They're nearly impossible to kill, especially in a dry Mediterranean climate like mine.
