I've had my ZZ plant for two years now and I'm still amazed at how little it demands. Mine sits in a corner with indirect light, and I water it maybe once a month. The glossy leaflets just keep coming back greener every spring. I will say though, I learned the hard way that these plants really don't like soggy soil—I nearly killed mine my first year by watering too often. Now I let the soil dry out completely between waterings and it's thriving.
