Just realized my ZZ plant has been thriving in the corner I basically forgot about for six months. Barely watered it, barely looked at it. I think that's actually the secret in my dry climate—these things genuinely want neglect. The one time I fussed over it and watered more often, the stems got soft. Now I just let the soil dry out completely and it's putting out new leaflets like crazy. Anyone else finding ZZ plants actually prefer being ignored?
