My fiddle leaf fig finally put out a new leaf after I stopped moving it around so much

My fiddle leaf fig finally put out a new leaf after I stopped moving it around so much. I was so impatient at first, rotating it constantly to get even growth, but I think all that shuffling stressed it out. Now it sits in the same bright spot by my window and seems genuinely happier. Has anyone else found their figs are pickier about consistency than they are about the "perfect" light conditions?
