My fiddle leaf fig finally stopped dropping leaves after I moved it away from the cold vent and stopped watering on a schedule. I was drowning the thing—turns out in my dry climate it needs way less than I thought. Now I water only when the top inch of soil is actually dry, and it's pushing out new growth for the first time in months. Feeling vindicated after months of thinking I'd killed it.
