My fiddle leaf fig finally stopped dropping leaves after I stopped moving it around. I'd rotate it thinking it wanted light from different angles, but apparently it just wanted consistency. Now it's pushing out two new leaves and I'm resisting the urge to fuss with it. If you've got one struggling, try leaving it alone in a bright spot for a few weeks. Sounds simple, but it actually works.
